Jackson Street Bridge
ATLDOT Project No. 1126
STATUS
Design & Engineering
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Jackson Street Bridge Project was conceived and developed by Neighborhood Planning Unit M and the Atlanta Department of City Planning's Placemaking Program. The bridge offers one of Atlanta's most iconic skyline views and is a favorite gathering spot for both residents and visitors.
The project scope includes reconfiguring the right-of-way along Jackson Street to create a safer and more vibrant space for people. The reorganization supports a new pedestrian area extending beyond the sidewalk and a protected cycling connection between the Freedom Parkway Trail and Baker-Highland Trail. View the plans here.
CAP/ADID is partnering with the City of Atlanta to serve as the project implementation manager.
