Project Overview
The City of Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) are partnering together to transform Forsyth Street in Downtown Atlanta. The project will:
- Resurface Forsyth Street between Memorial Dr. SW and Peachtree St. NE
- Upgrade ADA ramps.
- Install north-south bike infrastructure between Memorial Dr. and Marietta St.
- Add parking and loading space in the Fairlie Poplar District to better support curbside operations.
- Lower the posted speed limit to 25pmh and install other traffic calming measures in keeping with the City of Atlanta’s Vision Zero goals.
