Downtown Commuter Bus Service Route Consolidation Study

Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District worked with the regional bus providers to explore opportunities to consolidate bus routes in the Downtown core to better meet the needs of our community and improve mobility.

The plan is intended to be a roadmap for the development of bus-only lanes and the establishment of consolidated and optimized bus routing and staging. The results of this study will guide the design and construction of future transit lanes Downtown.

Consolidated commuter bus routes and the development of a high-quality bus corridor aim to:

• Enhance the commuter experience
• Improve on-time performance for commuter buses
• Simplify routes
• Make transit a competitive alternative to driving
