Downtown Atlanta boasts unparalleled transit access, walkable streets, and protected bicycle infrastructure. Our streets, sidewalks, and trails connect hundreds of thousands of residents, students, workers, and visitors to their homes, classrooms, offices, and popular event venues and attractions. MARTA Rail & Bus
Downtown Atlanta has nine MARTA rail stations, including stops on both the north-south and east-west lines. Passengers traveling from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport can travel directly to Downtown in as little as 15 minutes.
Fares are paid with plastic reusable Breezecards ($2) or paper tickets ($1), which can be purchased at rail station kiosks. Riders can choose from single-trip ($2.50), round-trip ($5), single-day ($9), or multi-day passes. 10-trip ($25) or 20-trip ($42.50) passes are also available. More frequent riders have the option of purchasing a 30-day pass ($95).

Streetcar
The Atlanta Streetcar loops around Downtown, connecting the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site to the east and Centennial Olympic Park District to the west, with 10 stops in between.
Regular trips are $1 each way or $3 for a one-day ticket. Ticket vending kiosks are available at all streetcar stops.

Regional Bus
Xpress, CobbLinc, and Gwinnett County Transit (GCT) provide commuter bus service to those traveling Downtown from outside the perimeter.

Downtown is very accessible by bike. No matter where you are peddling, Downtown Atlanta has you covered with 7.4 miles of bike lanes (and growing).

Dockless E-Bikes
Dockless e-bikes provide an alternative, flexible transportation choice for Atlanta residents and visitors to get around. Both Spin and Lime currently operate rentable e-bikes in Atlanta. Download their apps to start riding.
Note, there is currently a Nighttime Riding Restriction in effect for rented scooters and e-bikes. No devices can be rented from 9:00 PM - 4:00 AM.

Georgia Tech & West Midtown
Head north on the PATH Parkway, which begins at the intersection of Luckie St. and Baker St. near the Georgia Aquarium. This 1.5-mile dedicated bikeway connects Downtown’s Centennial Park District to Georgia Tech and all the way to the West Midtown area.
Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail
Only two miles from the heart of Downtown, the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail is an incredibly popular destination for residents and visitors alike. With the exception of about a block, the entire journey can be completed using protected or off-street bike facilities.
Take the PATH Parkway, which begins at the intersection of Luckie St. and Baker St. near the Georgia Aquarium. Head east towards the protected cycle-track on John Portman Blvd. Cross Piedmont Avenue and hop onto the off-street Baker Highland Connector Trail. Turn right at Jackson Street and enjoy one of Atlanta’s most iconic vistas from the Jackson Street Bridge. Be mindful of cars in this section! Turn left onto the Freedom Park Trail just before Cain Street. Take the Freedom Park Trail all the way to the Eastside Beltline access point.
Westside Beltline Connector Trail
While it isn’t possible to access the Westside Beltline Trail using only on off-street bike facilities (yet!), the Westside Beltline Connector Trail is still a great ride. This 2.1-mile trail features multiple bridges, a tunnel, and breathtaking views of Downtown Atlanta.
Take the PATH Parkway, which begins at the intersection of Luckie St. and Baker St. near the Georgia Aquarium. Head north and then turn left when you get to Ivan Allen Blvd. Head west on Ivan Allen and cross over Northside Dr. The entrance to the Westside Beltline Connector Trail is at the SW corner of Ivan Allen Blvd and Northside Dr.

Downtown has direct access from both I-75/85 and I-20. Parking options include on-street metered parking, small surface lots, and parking garages.
