WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT, CAMP IS IN!
We are here to engage and excite your young learners ages 5-11 during Winter Breaks.
These hands-on programs allow campers to visit animals on grounds, explore biofacts, and take part in science experiments and demonstrations. Campers will learn about the biology and behaviors of amazing creatures, the problems many animals face in the wild, and will discover ways to help wildlife and wild habitats. Campers should provide their own snacks, lunches, and water bottles.

THEMES:
Each week campers embark on a different Zoo expedition, exploring wildlife and wild places.
December 18 – 22: Do you see what I see?: If you didn’t have eyes, or if your eyes weren’t designed to be human, what would you see? How would you see? Explore the wonderful world of sight with us as we take a closer look at how different animals are adapted to see the world around them.
December 27 – 29: Tremendous Teeth: Scientists use teeth to gather information about individuals. They can guess age, diet, and lots of things in between, all from looking at teeth! So what can we learn about an animal by studying their teeth? Come explore with us as we look beyond diet to understand animals just from their bite.
February 19-23: Daring Diets: Animals eat all sorts of things that we would never consider eating. Some things are poisonous, some are slimy, and others are very hard to find and catch. Explore some of the most daring diets in the animal kingdom, and find out how animals are adapted to eat them.
