Zoo Atlanta salutes the service of veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces with Veterans Day presented by Kaiser Permanente on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. All veteran, active-duty, reserve, and retired members of the Armed Forces will enjoy free admission (verification required) and $4 off general admission for up to six accompanying guests. Present a valid military ID or DD-214 form in person at Zoo Atlanta Admissions to redeem the discount. Guests using this offer for free or discounted admission do not require advance timed tickets and do not need to make reservations online; visit Zoo Atlanta Admissions in person.

Zoo Atlanta is open daily with new protocols and procedures in place to promote wellness and prevent the spread of COVID-19. While guests using the Veterans Day offer do not require advance reservations, timed tickets are required for all other Members and guests and must be purchased online in advance. Other measures include a largely one-way experience through the Zoo; hand-sanitizing stations throughout grounds; and signage and other aids to encourage social distancing. Masks are currently required for general admission for all guests over the age of 10. Certain optional paid experiences, including giraffe feeding, the Endangered Species Carousel, Zoo train, and Treetop Trail, require masks for all guests ages 2 and up.
