Go beyond the noble platitudes of planting trees for the next generation: we need trees NOW. In this evening discussion, we are joined by three dynamic experts: Dan Lambe, President of Arbor Day Foundation, will introduce his new book and Steve Sanchez, Principal of HGOR, will give us an overview of the master plan to plant 8,000 trees in Downtown Atlanta by 2030. They will be joined by Greg Levine, Co-Executive Director of Trees Atlanta.

Dan Lambe, CEO of the Arbor Day Foundation, will be talking about his new book Now Is The Time For Trees at Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center. This topic is very relevant in today's world where climate change will affect the planet in ways we don't expect. Now -- more than ever -- trees are integral to helping us battle climate change.  Inspired by a collective sense of urgency to reduce the negative effects of a changing climate, a global movement to plant trees is gaining momentum. To move the needle, we need to act on a massive scale and plant millions of trees today to have a measurable and lasting impact on billions of lives tomorrow.

In the book Now Is the Time for Trees, Arbor Day Foundation Chief Executive Dan Lambe shares his insights about the power and importance of tree planting — inspiring you to do your part. From advice on choosing the right size and type of tree to tried-and-true tips for planting success, this book will help you plant a tree today and leave your own legacy of hope.
