Join us for the HWPL Georgia Peace Walk & Block Party! We'll kick off the walk at Liberty Plaza and end with a block party at Four Corners Park, including local artisans, vendors, food, and live performances! Together, our mission is to promote a culture of peace starting from within our own community, foster a culture of understanding and tolerance, and resolve conflicts.
Beginning at the focal point for civic engagement, this walk will provide a platform for individuals and groups to express their views, advocate for justice and peace, and commit to community revitalization.
Participating in the peace walk offers an opportunity for everyone to stand united in the pursuit of peace, harmony, understanding, reconciliation, and the promotion of positive change in our community. In one collective movement, we are transcending differences and divisions. Together we can transform Georgia from a “Peach” state to a “Peace” state.
Details
Parking: Street parking and parking decks are located near the area.
Walk Distance: 1.7 miles and lined with water stations and staff. For those unable to participate in the walk, there will be a shuttle system from the initiating event at Liberty Plaza to the Block party.
