In fiscal year 2018, the U.S. Department of State processed a record breaking 21 million passport applications and they anticipate those numbers will rise in 2019.

The Atlanta Passport Agency is hosting May Passport Day on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The event on Saturday is a convenient way to apply for children, apply for the first time, or renew your passport. U.S. passport holders who will have less than six months validity on their passports should consider renewing their passports now. Some foreign countries require up to 6 months of validity on your passport to enter. Processing time for routine service is 3-4 weeks and 2-3 weeks for expedite service. Expedite service costs an additional $60.
