Details
Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia’s largest and most experienced non-profit working to end domestic violence, will host its 32nd annual Hearts With Hope Gala virtually on Saturday, September 26, 2020, beginning at 5:30 p.m. via Vimeo, Facebook Live and YouTube Live. This fundraiser event is free and will bring together corporate and community leaders, as well as PADV’s local and national supporters, to help raise awareness of domestic violence.
This year is the first time the Hearts With Hope Gala will be hosted virtually due to safety concerns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. PADV is encouraging participation and donations this year because police departments, emergency rooms and PADV’s 24-hour crisis hotline have seen a substantial increase in the rates and severity of domestic violence in part due to the coronavirus pandemic. All of these critical services and resources PADV provides to domestic violence victims are needed more than ever.
The virtual Gala will feature a silent and live auction, compelling speakers and entertainment. Auction details include a wide-range of luxurious items, including a seven-night getaway in a private beach house in beautiful Santa Rose Beach, Florida; 24 tickets and six parking passes to an Atlanta Braves home game during the 2021 season, along with a $1,000 credit towards food; and more. Participants can also bid on this year’s Golden Ticket Prize, a table for six for a 2021 event at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
