Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is proud to announce our 11th annual Teen Summit, but this year, with a virtual twist! On average, youth begin dating as early as 13, so it's important that young people know what is a "healthy" relationship, and what isn't. Teen Summit is PADV's premier conference-style opportunity for young people and adults to learn how to become effective community allies for survivors of dating violence, as well as collaborate to end dating violence in their communities.
The 2020 Virtual Teen Summit, “2020 Vision: See and Believe”, will explore what it means to identity dating violence, believe in change, and act to end dating violence within communities. The event will be filled with workshops, panels and discussions that will:
• Equip teens with the tools to recognize and overcome unhealthy gender norms and expectations that lead to toxic relationships and dating violence.
• Show teens how to develop healthy relationships themselves and learn how to become positive role models in their communities.
• Inspire teens to transform their community into one that is equal and safe, regardless of their gender.
