Older kids can make their own watercolor copies of Boris Chaliapin’s famous portrait of Dr. King while they learn about the history of the painting. Younger guests will have a chance to color in “bubble letter” quotes.
Jane’s Innovation Station
Inspired by photos of non-violent protesters on Edmund Pettus Bridge, these activities teach how bridges function while they practice building their very own bridges.
Science Bar
Children will discover a different side of Martin Luther King Jr. as they learn about his effect on the environmental movement and find out tips and tricks to make recycling fun and easy.
Morph Gallery
Guests can “follow in the footsteps” of King in an exhibit symbolizing his 39 years of life. Throughout the exhibit, there will be photo ops and stations, including building a collage of hopes for the future, writing cards for children in Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals and creating their own “Dream Mobiles.”
