LCM Downtown Atlanta is a FREE EVENT; PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Join the excitement and community as we activate the Downtown Sweet Auburn Neighborhood with a vibrant cultural arts experience including:

• a rooftop dance workshop w/live drumming (kick-off)
• traditional West African music + performances
• food + a mini fashion gala (Nuit du Bazin) depicting attire common to Manding regions of Mali, Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea
• arts + culture + community + wellness and more...

La Culture Mandingue (LCM) is an ongoing traditional arts project presented by Assane Kouyaté, that honors and celebrates ancestral griot traditions of the Manding (Mandinka or Malinké) that date back to the 13th century Mali Empire.

Funding for this event is provided by A&E Atlanta and the Downtown Atlanta Improvement District, and in part by ROOTS and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
