In The Next King, turmoil brews in the Congolian Rainforest as King Negasi grapples with the challenges and unrest among the animals. He contemplates whether to allow his mischievous son, Lari, to ascend the throne or to retain power in order to restore justice and joy in the jungle. Toco Toucan proposes the idea of having an election, similar to those in the "people world" instead of the King appointing his son or maintaining his role as leader. After careful nudging, Tuti Tiger agrees to challenge Lari as a candidate. With humor and heart, the audience becomes active participants in the election, joining either Team Lion or Team Tiger, as they cast their votes and demonstrate the importance of voting.

In the end, the animals of the rainforest learn that democracy is about more than choosing a leader- it's about using your voice to make a difference. The Next King reminds us all that every vote counts and that our voices have the power to shape the future. You don't want to miss this rumble in the jungle. Join us for the "mane" event as these animals roar to the polls and vote for the leader of the Congolian Rainforest.

Performances will take place at 1pm and 3pm on June 29,2024 and July 20,2024.
