Independence Day Celebration
The Children’s Museum of Atlanta celebrates America with a special story featuring "Fourth of July Mice" by Bethany Roberts, immersing families in patriotic spirit. At the Science Bar, audiences will experience the magic of baking soda fireworks, and Jane’s Innovation Station will offer a chance to explore the science behind the holiday's iconic soundscapes.
CMA On Stage
Storytime: “Fourth of July Mice” by Bethany Roberts
Noon and 4 p.m.
Science Bar
The Science Bar will ignite baking soda fireworks, allowing little scientists to add pipettes of multi-colored citric acid to a tray of baking soda, observing base and acid reactions firsthand.
Jane’s Innovation Station
Jane’s Innovation Station helps kids commemorate Independence Day by examining the science of sound with a fireworks-inspired experiment, exploring eardrum vibrations and testing sound-dampening materials.
