The Auburn Avenue Research Library will host activist and author Reverend Jesse Williams who will discuss his latest publication Institutional Racism in America 101. This rare educational book answers often asked questions about race and racism in the U.S. and the world. Identifying Racism as a mental disorder that disproportionately infects a key demographic of Americans, this publication seeks to generate an ongoing community dialogue that will lead to effective methods of combating Racism. Jesse Williams is a retired minister, human rights activist, and lecturer native to Atlanta, GA. Williams has been active in human rights activities in Georgia and California. He fought for the election of Los Angeles' first and only black mayor and is the former president of Dignity, Inc., a group formed expressly to combat media racism. This event is free and open to the public at 101 Auburn Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.
