To celebrate Black History Month 2020, the Hall will host a free event highlighting African American players, coaches and administrators who forever impacted the game as we look toward the future of college football. The HBCUs: Past, Present and Future Speaker Panel event will explore the history of football programs at HBCUs, the current landscape and the future of these programs as we close out the 150th season of college football. The panel will be moderated by ESPN Announcer and College Football Analyst Jay Walker and will feature the following panelists.
- Jacqie McWilliams, CIAA Commissioner
- Amir Hall, Former Bowie State Quarterback and two time Deacon Jones Player of the Year
- Sam Washington, Head Coach at NCA&T
- John T. Grant, Executive Director of the Celebration Bowl

In addition to the speaker panel event, the Hall will celebrate each HBCU conference on select weekends in February. Students who show their ID will receive a discounted admission rate of $18.99.
