Côte d’Ivoire Shared Destiny Celebration Luncheon 2020 will feature His Excellency Mamadou Haïdara, Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to the United States. Co-hosting this luncheon are the Alliance Française d’Atlanta and the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, and will highlight Côte d’Ivoire’s economic, cultural, and educational offerings and opportunities.

Former U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson has been invited to accept the Destiny Impact Award for his outstanding contributions to the continent of Africa in the last decade. CARE will also be honored with the Destiny Humanitarian Award for its contributions to women’s rights, health, agriculture, microfinance and emergency response programming across the continent. We will honor CNN's Ms. Zain Asher with the Destiny Media and Communication Award for her focused, excellent business news coverage on the continent through her African Market program, as well as her outstanding coverage of humanitarian issues. Ms. Nell Diallo, Medshare’s former Vice-President of International Development, will receive the Destiny Champion Award for her notable contributions to the continent, and we will present our IUGB Trailblazer Award to Ms. Sarran Deigna, IUGB/Georgia State University alumna, for her service and support of our University and its students.

The primary function of the luncheon is to serve as a fundraiser to support scholarships on behalf of the International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB). 100% of your ticket purchase goes towards the IUGB Scholarship Fund.
