Details
Join Children’s Museum of Atlanta and the Ismaili Muslim Community in our celebration of Eid al Fitr, the Islamic Festival of Fast-Breaking that takes place the day after the month of Ramadan fasting. Create crafts that celebrate the holiday’s themes of Light and Phases of the Moon which mark time in a lunar calendar, and learn about the holiday through Music & Movement activities and a special story-time featuring It’s Ramadan Curious George. Our special guests will also set up a traditional “Eid Mela” — an Eid al Fitr carnival with cultural dress-up, regional games and prizes, and a henna station! Be sure to stick around into the afternoon so you don’t miss out on a special cooking class where we’ll be making traditional mango lasi!
