Hear from Mtamanika Youngblood, Commissioner Tim Keane and Historic Preservation staff on focus of Historic Preservation Week including the unveiling of some of the highlights from our Future Places Project work.
OCT 20: HISTORIC PROPERTY VIRTUAL TOUR
Join in for a virtual tour of South View Cemetery, one of the nation’s oldest Black cemeteries. Located in Southeast Atlanta, South View is the final resting place of former enslaved persons and some notable figures in African American history.
OCT 21: TECHNICAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION WORKSHOP
Join us to hear from Paul Simo of Simo Community Design, LLC, on what makes a building historic.
OCT 22: PRESERVATION TALK: RACIAL EQUITY IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION
