Spin the Block is a creative community service event with a goal to inspire communities around the world to improve their surrounding environment through awareness on recycling hosted by the Cam Kirk Foundation and sponsored by The Athlete’s Foot.
For the past 4 years, Cam Kirk, notable photographer and founder of Cam Kirk Studios, has hosted the local Atlanta event where volunteers have an opportunity to network with local businesses, take part in photo competitions, and learn about the city all while cleaning the community. This year, legendary Atlanta rapper Big Bank Black will be in attendance.
We would love to extend an invitation for you to participate in Spin the Block on Sunday, July 30th from 9:30am-11:30am beginning at Cam Kirk Studios located at 236 Forsyth St. SW #405 Atlanta, GA 30303.
In 2021, Cam Kirk Studios first partnered with Sprite™ with a $25k grant for recycling bins and trash cans to be placed throughout the local Atlanta area by Cam Kirk Studios. Spin the Block now serves as a quarterly maintenance event encouraging community sustainability practices. On the day of the event, volunteers will be equipped with vests and litter grabbers as they walk a secure, predetermined route for cleanup.
As an Atlanta staple for creatives averaging over 500 appointments a month, Cam Kirk Studios offers a 7,000 square ft photography studio for creatives to use and advance their skills, market themselves and network. During the walk, content creators are encouraged to bring their own cameras to participate in a photo competition with the winner receiving free studio time at Cam Kirk Studios.
