ATLANTA, GA -- The countdown has begun for the 2022 Hunger Walk Run to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This year, the event is back to in-person and is also offering a virtual option. The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, 2022 and online registration is open until Friday, March 4, 2022. Event-day registration will be available for a higher rate.
WHAT: 38th Annual Hunger Walk Run with Atlanta Community Food Bank
WHEN: March 6, 2022; 12-4 p.m.
WHERE: The Home Depot Backyard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (1 Backyward Way, Atlanta, GA 30313)
The 5K event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. Participants may join as an individual, family, group, or team. In addition to the Walk Run, the family-friendly event will feature live music, food vendors, warm-ups, and more.
Online registration is available at www.hungerwalkrun.org and is open until March 4, 2022 at 12 p.m. The rate for online registration is $25 for walkers and $35 for runners. Walk-up registration will also be available for $30 for walkers and $40 for runners on the day of the event.
Throughout the year, the Atlanta Community Food Bank connects more than 715,000 people with healthy and nutritious food. The organization also works with more than 700 nonprofit partners to help fight food insecurity in the communities they serve.
