Zoo Atlanta to Build New World of Reptiles
April 2,2013
CAP Member, Zoo Atlanta has filed a building permit application with the City of Atlanta to move forward on a new amphibian and reptile complex to replace its oldest structure – the World of Reptiles building.
Zoo Atlanta says on its website, “This is an exciting early step in a process to create a state-of-the-art experience showcasing one of the nation’s largest and most diverse collections of reptiles and amphibians from around the world, and it will replace a structure familiar to many Atlantans from childhood. The 51-year-old World of Reptiles building is the oldest structure at Zoo Atlanta still in use for public exhibits.”
Logistics and details of the construction process are still being finalized, according to Zoo Atlanta’s website.
