The Ellis Hotel Unveils New Meeting Space for its Centennial Celebration
April 25,2013
The Ellis Hotel, a CAP Member and boutique hotel located in Downtown Atlanta, is celebrating the building’s centennial with the completion of new additional meeting and event space. The iconic Georgia hotel now offers beautifully appointed space on the second floor presenting natural light through floor-to-ceiling historic windows.
The centerpiece of the hotel’s addition is part of The Ellis Hotel’s commitment to re-imagined meeting space and personalized service.
“We stand by our doctrine of intimate meetings with huge success,” said Director of Sales & Marketing Tracey Lyon-Mercado. “We offer a dose of Southern hospitality with the business comforts you would expect of a metropolitan hotel.”
With the ability to seat up to 80 guests comfortably, the event space overlooks the proverbial and legendary heart of Atlanta – Peachtree Street and is trimmed with a terrace for outdoor affairs. Stoddard, a new function event space, allows for events of all sizes with the option of moveable air walls. Carnegie offers a quiet space with adjacent balcony for breakout rooms, private dining and small meetings.
To accommodate banquet needs, the kitchen has been expanded. Catering menus, easily customized for meetings, weddings and social gatherings, celebrate local and regional farmers, fisherman and producers when possible.
“It’s the classic city conundrum to find a space that is personal without feeling stuffy or too casual. There’s a lot to choose from in Atlanta,” says Lyon-Mercado. “We like to offer groups a breath of fresh air with authentic character that blends antebellum charm with an elegant sense of modernity.”
