Ogletree Deakins to Open Offices in Europe
November 14,2012
Atlanta labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins, a CAP Member, will open offices in Berlin and London around the end of the year. Ogletree Deakins said it will be the only U.S.-based boutique labor and employment law firm with offices in Europe. The Berlin office will open Dec. 1 and the London will open right after.
“There is no question that today we all operate in a global marketplace,” said Ogletree Deakins Managing Shareholder Kim Ebert, in a statement. “Our U.S. clients have expressed frustrations with the options for handling their employment law matters internationally, and we initiated our expansion in response to those concerns. Our strategy is to provide international representation that is focused on value and first-class client service, just as we provide domestically. We also expect that international clients with issues in the United States will take advantage of our domestic platform of 41 offices and more than 650 talented lawyers.”
The Berlin office will be headed by Hendrik Muschal from Salans LLP. The London office will be led by Michael Webster, who is the founder and joint managing partner of Webster Dixon LLP.
