“Bodega-style” and “ tip-free” market and sandwich cafe the Pantry and Provisions is open at the historic Healey Building on Forsyth Street in downtown Atlanta.
Owned by Taste Network, Peachfest, and Cochon555 heritage pig food festival founder Brady Lowe, the Pantry aims to provide a menu showcasing America’s “diverse sandwich culture.” This includes offering the cold cut and olive tapenade-laden muffuletta found throughout New Orleans, the famed Chicago dog consisting of a beef frankfurter topped with onions, sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, and tomatoes, and LA’s popular eggslut breakfast sandwich.
For those who have indulged in the storied muffuletta at Central Grocery in New Orleans, the Pantry serves the giant-sized sandwich by the quarter or half. A whole sandwich here sets the purchaser back $48.
