Located next door to STATS in Downtown Atlanta's Luckie Marietta District, Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria is now open and serves authentic New York -style pizza. Cooked in the only coal oven in Georgia, Max's has created the perfect dough - light with some spring to it, yet crusty with a chewy quality. New York City native and Chef Nick Oltarsh's house specialty pizzas include the margherita with slow roasted tomatoes, the Bianca with ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, confit garlic and fresh basil and Max's Meaty loaded with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs and ham.
