Koch Signs 90,000 s.f. Lease at 100 Peachtree/Equitable

Downtown’s Equitable Building continues its turnaround.

Koch Business Solutions L.P. has inked a 90,000-square-foot deal at Equitable, a fixture in downtown’s Fairlie-Poplar Historic District for decades.

America's Capital Partners put $15 million toward replacing the exterior glass and reskinning the building, among other improvements. It’s also working on an expanded and remodeled lobby, and a redesigned streetscape and plaza to complement nearby Woodruff Park. Earlier this year, it asked Fulton County for economic development incentives that would support $85 million in upgrades.

Koch’s lease is one of Downtown Atlanta's largest this year. It comes just weeks after The Coca-Cola Co. said it was relocating from the suburbs to SunTrust Plaza Garden Offices, where the beverage giant will lease 275,868 square feet.
