International Downtown Association Gives Central Atlanta Progress Downtown Merit Award

September 25,2012

During its most recent annual conference, the International Downtown Association recognized Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) with a Downtown Merit Award for work related to its 2011 Annual Report.

Designed as a wall calendar, CAP’s 2011 annual report is artful, interactive and serves as an informative piece of marketing collateral that can be referenced year-round. The report was among 10 qualified entries in the category of Marketing and Communication, which highlights plans or strategies that used print, electronic media, or multimedia efforts to promote downtown and further the value of city centers.

“This distinction is an honor for our organization, and we are delighted to be recognized by the International Downtown Association,” said Wilma Sothern, Vice President of Marketing at CAP.

“Central Atlanta Progress’ project received the IDA Merit Award for delivering excellence in downtown management”, said David Downey, IDA President and CEO.  “Each year the IDA Awards Jury recognizes organizations that utilize best practices in our industry. The organization’s annual report is a shining example of excellent downtown management that delivers real results.”
