Hotel Planned Near Georgia Aquarium
August 19,2013
Plans were filed Aug. 7 in Atlanta for a seven-story hotel on roughly an acre of land that’s catty-corner to the aquarium at Ivan Allen Boulevard and Luckie Street. Parking and valet company Ameripark owns the property, according to Fulton County records.
The nearly 110,000-square-foot lodging would have about 150 rooms, meeting space and a restaurant. It likely would be branded a Hyatt House, according to a project summary submitted to the city.
It could be the state’s second location of Hyatt House, a new extended-stay brand from Hyatt Hotels Corp. that debuted in 2012.
