Georgia World Congress Center Plans Centennial Park Renovation

The original designer of Centennial Olympic Park is back to redesign the park, this time improving the park as a destination. During the Georgia World Congress Center Authority retreat in September, the vision for the future of the park was laid out in nine slides, showing projects that would improve access, attractions, comfort, and function.

Some of the more interesting projects include a carousel, a restaurant and beer garden, more on-street parking, and expanding the amphitheatre. The large lawn would remain an open space, as it's a big draw to parkgoers. Don't get too excited yet: this project has no financial funding or timetable.
