Genuine Parts Co. to buy Quaker City Motor Parts Co.

Genuine Parts Co. plans to buy NAPA parts distributor Quaker City Motor Parts Co. for an undisclosed amount.  The deal is expected to close around May 1. Atlanta-based Genuine Parts, a distributor of automotive replacement parts, industrial replacement parts, business products and electrical and electronic components, said it expects Quaker City to produce $300 million in revenue annually.

Middletown, Del.-based Quaker City serves 271 NAPA auto parts stores in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., the northern counties of Virginia and northeastern tip of West Virginia.
