Food Truck Fridays to return to Downtown Atlanta this week

Downtown Atlanta’s Food Truck Fridays series is returning this year with a new location.

Every Friday between May 4 – July 27, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., food truck vendors will set up at Woodruff Park along Peachtree Street, between Poplar and Luckie Streets, for a lunchtime event.

Formerly located at Broad Street Plaza at the Five Points MARTA rail station, the series changed locations this year to complement the highly successful lunchtime activity the park experiences during peak outdoor dining season, according to a press release from Central Atlanta Progress.

The weekly event will also feature live music from local performers and café seating with umbrellas throughout the park.

This year’s season will kick off May 4, with treats from Rio’s Italian Ice Cart available in addition to the participating food trucks.
