Delta Workers to Receive Profit Sharing

CAP Member, Delta Air Lines Inc. on Thursday will hand out $372 million in profit sharing to its 80,000 employees as a 2012 performance reward.  Employees’ individual payouts will equal about 6.7 percent of their eligible 2012 earnings, the Atlanta-based airline said.

In 2012, Delta employees earned $91 million in “Shared Rewards,” which, combined with profit sharing, totaled $463 million in performance pay for 2012.

Delta said it has paid out more than $1.1 billion in profit sharing and Shared Rewards over the past three years.  As reported in January, the airline’s profit jumped 18 percent to $1 billion in 2012.
