CRE vet Steve Morgan joins Avison Young

New CAP Member, Avison Young hired Grubb & Ellis veteran Steve Morgan as a principal.

Morgan recently was senior vice president and associate broker at Grubb & Ellis, which filed for Chapter 11 in February and subsequently was acquired by BGC Partners. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, he owned and operated Morgan Realty Advisors and was managing director and Southeast regional manager for CSFB Realty Corp.

For Avison Young, Morgan will focus on office sales, leasing and investments and will provide multi-market advisory for corporate and international clients.

“He has an incredibly creative real estate mind and is known for his tenacity in closing many complex transactions across the country,” said Steve Dils, Avison Young principal and managing director of the company’s Atlanta office. “His decision to join us is another validation of our ability to attract elite talent to Avison Young’s principal-led culture. Avison Young’s Atlanta office recently named Gail Crowder, also formerly of Grubb & Ellis, a principal.
