It seems chef Kevin Gillespie never stops.
On the heels of opening his massive Beltline restaurant Cold Beer, the recognized Atlanta chef will also open a tiny pop-up cafe on the ground floor of the Georgia-Pacific Tower on June 3.
“This is our first foray into coffee which I love and have been obsessed with for years," Gillespie said. "It’s also fun to have a chance to serve our guests during the day, as currently we only serve dinner at our restaurants.”
But Ole Reliable won't be your average breakfast joint – it'll serve specialty coffee from local Atlanta coffee roaster Docent, breakfast and lunch dishes in only about 250 square feet of space. The pop-up will primarily operate as a take-away dining spot over the next year, with about 16 seats available in the lobby area. Gillespie said the project fell into his lap about a month ago.
