Centennial Olympic Park Wins Urban Land Institute 20-Year Impact Award and 2014 IFEA Pinnacle Awards

The Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta chapter recently recognized Centennial Olympic Park with a special 20-year project award, recognizing the profound impact the Park has had on the development of downtown Atlanta and on the tourism industry. The Park, built as part of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, has been an enduring part of the Games’ legacy, as well as a catalyst for economic development around it.
The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) also paid tribute to Centennial Olympic Park during the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony, where they were presented with four awards in the prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition. The professional competition draws entries from among the world’s top festivals and events.
Awards were won in the following categories:
GOlD- Best Miscellaneous printed materials, FOUNTAIN Pen
SILVER -BEST EVENT INVITATION, FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
BRONZE- BEST EVENT WEBSITE, PARTY IN THE PARK
BRONZE- BEST EVENT PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPH, PARTY IN THE PARK
