Atlanta Church Comes to Term with Atlanta Falcons
August 6,2013
The Atlanta Falcons have come to terms to buy Friendship Baptist Church, one of two, which is key for a new stadium in downtown Atlanta. Mayor Kasim Reed said that the church and the team agreed on a $19.5 million deal. The team will now re-open talks with Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
The team needed the land of the two churches to place the new stadium just south of the Georgia Dome.
