AT&T leads Georgia's REACH Scholarship Funding
February 6,2012
AT&T Inc. is the first corporate sponsor of Georgia’s new needs-based college scholarship program, the REACH Scholarship (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen).
The telecommunications giant, whose AT&T Mobility unit is based in Atlanta, donated $250,000 to kick off the program’s fundraising, Gov. Nathan Deal’s office reported Monday. REACH will be funded entirely with private money and a 501(c)3 tax-exempt foundation has been started to lead fundraising.
