Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) hosted their 2024 Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on January 31st at the recently opened Signia by Hilton Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The signature event highlighted the organization’s recent accomplishments, ranging from street-level enhancements like bike lanes and sidewalks to continued progress on the larger-than-life infrastructure project known as The Stitch.
Over 750 attendees were welcomed by Dr. Brian Davis, CAP Board Chairman and President and CEO of the Georgia Aquarium. Mayor Andre Dickens gave remarks, and attendees were served an elegant 3-course lunch highlighting the new hotel’s culinary offerings. Robinson also touched on the upcoming 2026 World Cup and how Atlanta can get ready to host the international soccer community. “Collaboration is particularly important in these preparations,” Robinson noted, adding it will take both public and private partners to make the multi-day event a success.
