Walk to Cure Diabetes
When: October 17, 2009 – walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
Where: Centennial Olympic Park and surrounding Downtown streets
Street Closures on October 17, 2009:
8-11 a.m.: Centennial Olympic Park Drive, between Baker St. and Andrew Young International Blvd. will be closed.
6 a.m.-2 p.m.: Andrew Young International Blvd. will be closed between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta St.
Route: Starting at Centennial Olympic Park, head south on Centennial Olympic Park Drive towards Castleberry Hill. Left on Fair St., left on Peters St., continue on to Spring Street heading north. Right on Mitchell St., left on Central Ave. SW, continue up Peachtree Center Ave., left on Andrew Young International Blvd. back to Centennial Olympic Park.

Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk
When: October 23-25, 2009
Where: Buckhead, Midtown, Downtown areas. The walk will take place on sidewalks only.
Estimated Attendance: 7,000
Partnership Walk/Run 5k
When: October 25, 2009
Where: Downtown streets
Route: Start going west on Andrew Young International Blvd., left on Marietta St., left on Spring St., north on West Peachtree St. to 5th St. Left on 5th St., left on Techwood Dr., right on Andrew Young International Blvd. to finish line.
Temporary Street Closures:
October 7 - November 6, 2009: Bell Street, SE between Decatur Street and Coca Cola Place will be closed .
October 16, 2009: Luckie Street, NW between Peachtree Street and Forsyth Street will be closed.
October 18, 2009: Auburn Avenue, NE between Howell Street and Randolph Street as well as Old Wheat Street, NE between Randolph Street and Airline Street will be closed intermittently.
October 21, 2009: Jackson Street, NE between Highland Avenue and John Wesley Dobbs Avenue and Cain Street, NE between Jackson Street and Boulevard will be closed.
October 22, 2009: Ellis Street, NW between Peachtree Street and Carnegie Way will be closed.
October 25, 2009: Auburn Avenue, NE between Jesse Hill Jr Drive and Bell Street will be closed.
