The legacy community listening session is for all members of the community who have a connection to neighborhoods destroyed during urban renewal and the construction of I-75/85, including but not limited to Buttermilk Bottom, Butler Street, Irwin Street, and Crescent Way.

We seek to share what these neighborhoods were like, the bonds that existed, and to understand what it was like for both Black and Jewish residents who lived, worked, and played in this geography.

The Stitch is a transformational civic investment currently underway and will reconnect Downtown and Midtown.
