April 1-30, 2008
Rules & Logging Instructions
- April 1st, the competition will begin, so start wearing your pedometer. The pedometer will calculate the calories burned, steps taken and miles traveled.
- Each day, log onto your designated Commuter Rewards site (www.logyourcommute.com/DowntownCommuters or your specific company site). If you aren’t already registered with Commuter Rewards, you will need to take a moment to fill out your profile. Once registered, logging your commute each day shouldn’t take more than 20 seconds.
- Enter the number of steps walked on the previous day each morning when you come into work. (Walking done outside of the workday counts too.) You will be prompted to enter your number of steps at the bottom of the screen, below the questions about how you got to/from work. After reporting your steps, reset your pedometer to zero.
- If you don’t record your steps on the Web site on the weekend, record the combined total number of steps taken Friday, Saturday and Sunday when you log into the Commuter Rewards website on Monday morning.
- Each week in April, 22 walk challenge participants will be chosen at random to receive new 1GB iPod Shuffles! A total of 88 iPod Shuffles will be awarded during the month. Any participant logging their steps into the on-line system may be selected as a winner!
- Prize winners will be announced no later than the Monday following the completion of the previous contest week.
- Winners can only win one iPod shuffle during the Walk There! Challenge.
- The Grand Prize winner is the individual Walk There Challenge participant who logged the greatest number of steps out of all of the participants in their area (metro Atlanta region divided into 11 areas).
- Participants must report truthfully. We reserve the right to verify steps reported by winners.
